At just 15, he plunged into the disco scene, igniting his career during the vibrant 80s. His talent shone through when he clinched victory in the Battle of the DJs in the early 90s, a milestone that set the stage for his dynamic career. Although a promising opportunity in Belgium beckoned, fate had other plans, steering him toward the pulsating heart of club culture.
Over the years, Jay Dee has graced numerous venues as a guest DJ before taking up residence at Nightcrawlers in Cape Town, opposite the iconic Good Hope Centre. This deep-rooted experience and a fearless love for music have seen him explore diverse genres—though jazz remains close to his heart—making his sets as versatile as they are inspiring.
