AS ARTIST HE REGULARLY APPEARS AT DJ MAG TOP 100 CLUBS FROM “MAGAZZINI GENERALI” AND “IL MURETTO” TO “PETER PAN”. HE ALSO HELD RESIDENCIES AT FAMOUS “AMBASADA GAVIOLI” /SLOVENIA/, “BYBLOS” /CROATIA/ AND “PACHA SHARM EL SHEIKH” /EGYPT/. HE HAS SOUND TRACKED VARIOUS FASHION SHOWS AND ART EXHIBITIONS.. HIS HIT SINGLE “FUEL YOUR LIFE” WENT #4 ON MTV DANCEFLOOR CHART AND HIS MUSIC WAS CHAMPIONED BY LABELS SUCH AS HED KANDI, PEPPERMINT JAM, UNIVERSAL AND MINISTRY OF SOUND. AFTER MORE THAN 30 YEARS BEHIND THE DECKS AND DEDICATING HIS LIFE TO CLUB MUSIC, PAOLO CONTINUES TO BE A MUCH SOUGHT-AFTER ARTIST IN ONE OF WORLD’S HOTTEST FESTIVAL REGIONS, ALWAYS DELIVERING BEST VIBE, EITHER WITH HIS VANGUARD SETS OR CLASSIC HOUSE SELECTION.

Paolo Barbato more than 30 years behind the decks and a whole life dedicated to the world of music. Paolo Barbato is internationally recognised as one of the leaders of Italy’s electronic and house music scene. He preserves that fresh and insatiable curiosity that pushes him to a constant search of what the musical panorama hides sometime in the undergrounder channels, waves that he hurls on..
I adore this man for as long as I was drawn to the pleasures of house music in early 90s. He was already an idol among us young party breakers…We were attending almost  every party where he played…and finally, I had a  pleasure to share the same dj booth with him, as one of my life goals!!
Calling him just a dj sounds reductive. Looking at his schedule gives the idea of a global dance music manager. His special taste and perception for what “It is” and what “It’s not” is reflecting all around his sound, his productions and the events he’s co-ordinating and promoting.
Paolo Barbato is the reference point for anyone who have something to do with house music in the extreme north-east of Italy. He lives for the music since 1984, when he won the acclaimed “Dj Competition” prize, the starting point for an extremely brilliant career, from the small local clubs to the Europe’s most prestigious dj-booths, Sharm el Sheikh’s Pacha.
Sharing the decks with people like Basement Jaxx, Sander Kleinenberg and Kenny Carpenter gave him the right inspiration to produce music by himself, even with the ten years experience of his record shop that filled a thousand dj-cases around Italy, Slovenia, Croatia and Austria. His studio works are issued through labels as Warner, Universal, Crystal and Global Underground, even Irma Records asked him to compile an exclusive and limited compilation for Illy. Among the releases on his label Stereophonic , countles tracks man can find on Beatport and Traxsource released on various labels LW RecordingsGraba RecordsKeep On DancingStreet KingCruise MusicOcean Trax, Irma,
Purple Music, NU TRAXX RecordsKing Street SoundsminiMarketGo Deeva Records,
the latest chart breaker is  Body Touch  on Disco Explosion Records!
He joined the Ramirez Live Project, which carried him and Elvio Moratto playing in Glasgow in front of 10.000 people, this joint-venture generated the ambitious and prog-oriented iPop project, a perfect balance between analog synths and warm basses, the superstar-dj Tommy Vee already asked them for remixes and a full-length album is soon to be finished.
Last but not least is the collaboration with the acclaimed percussionist Silvano del Gado, a two hours live/dj set for a two-piece orchestra, an explosive mix of natural and synthetic rhythms. So, it’s not a mystery if Mtv quote him as one of the most talented dj/producers of the entire scene.

He has developed a great taste and vast knowledge of music, owns an enviable collection of classic house vinyl but is most of all a great selector that exactly when and which track to drop to create the best energy on the dancefloor. “I am a dance DJ. I’m known as a house artist, but I don’t mind mixing techno or tech-house tracks in my sets if they fit in and make people dance.” Last but not least, his passion for music is insatiable as he preserves that fresh and insatiable curiosity which pushes him to a constant search of little music gems everyone is so keen to hear in his sets. While younger audience refer to him as ‘that tattooed guy with minimalistic specs who plays great house’, most of DJs who were active in the mid 90s, also knew Paolo as a music dealer.

“Nowadays I also enjoy producing for other artists and sharing my knowledge with younger generation, so I’ve become official Steinberg’s Cubase Tutor.” Sure, why stop now after he’s already hooked tens of thousands people on house music after all.
