It begins in Los Angeles, 1998. Eddie Amador pens the now-famous lyrics…
“Not everyone understands House music, it’s a Spiritual thing, a Body thing, a Soul thing.”
The Mexican American ( Chicano) sets them to a hypnotic pulsating beat and the seminal dance classic “HOUSE MUSIC”is born. ‘
This anthem went on to become a global hit and secured Eddie an album deal with Deep Dish’s Yoshitoshi label.It was his next single ‘RISE’ which proved that Eddie was no one hit wonder catapulting into the top 20 of the UK national chart.’RISE’ propelled Eddie to the status of a world class dj and he was now performing at such super clubs as Ministry of Sound,The Queen, CentroFly, Crobar, Stereo as well as Pacha, Amnesia & Space in Ibiza.
Eddie’s International success allowed him the freedom and opportunity to setup a second studio in Amsterdam in 2003. Not long after switching continents, Eddie collaborated with fellow American producer Ian Carey under the moniker ‘Saturated Soul.’ The duo had a string of productions and remixes including ‘Got To Release’ on Defected Records & ‘Say What You Want’ on Nero. Meanwhile, Eddie was still turning out prime cuts for Yoshitoshi, including “Shake It” in 2005 and “6am” in 2006.
Eddie moved back to Los Angeles in 2007 and began remixing platinum recording artists Leela James, Michael Buble, and Seal for Warner Bros. and Reprise Records. In 2009, Eddie remixed Madonna’s “GIVE IT TO ME” from her Hard Candy Album which became # 1 on Billboards Hot Dance Club Play Chart.
He’s gone on to remix Pet Shop Boys, Yoko Ono, Kerli, The Veronicas, Alanis Morissette, Donna Summer, Chris Willis, Jason Derulo, Carmen Electra, Mayra Veronica, and Black Cards to name a few.
Eddie is constantly touring and collaborating with artists while signing original productions to labels like PACHA, Suara, DEFECTED, Suka, Rise Up, Black Hole, PPMusic, Wormland Gold, Yellow, Subliminal, Spinnin, Stealth, Nervous NYC and Toolroom.
His productions are supported by Carl Cox, Roger Sanchez, UMEK, Bob Sinclair, Erick Morillo, Laidback Luke,Oscar G, Simon Dunmore, Mark Knight, DJ Dan, and Harry Choo Choo Romero to name a few.
In 2015 Eddie Amador received the prestigious honor of being nominated by his house music peers for REMIXER of the year with his tech house influenced remix of 5 Knives (The RIsing) on Red Bull Records!
Currently, Eddie Amador’s “Spirit Filled” originals and coproductions have landed him even more singles on New York legend Todd Terry’s label In house, Lenny Fontana’s highly respected label Karmic Power and new singles with German stars Milk and Sugar !
Amador’s productions in 2011 included “Spirituality” on Erick Morillo’s Subliminal label and 10 Lil Indians on Amador’s imprint, Citrusonic Recordings. Eddie’s records are supported by well-known DJs including David Guetta, Kaskade, Annie Nightingale, D.O.N.S., Robbie Rivera, Thomas Gold, and others. His record “We Are the Beautiful Ones” is co-produced with Harry “Choo Choo” Romero, and vocalist Countre Black released on Subliminal. A new remix of “We Are the Beautiful Ones” by Sympho Nympho (Erick Morillo, Harry Romero and Jose Nunez) will appear on the latest Subliminal Compilation for WMC 2012. Eddie also teamed up with Automatic Panic on “Morning After” the current single on his Citrusonic Recordings imprint supported by MarkKnight, Steve Aoki and Judge Jules.
He has remixed for Madonna, Leela James, Michael Bublé and Seal for Warner Bros. Records and Reprise Records. He became part of the exclusive group to remix Madonna and his mix of “Give It to Me” from Hard Candy reached #1 on Billboards Hot Dance Club Play Chart. He has gone on to remix Yoko Ono, The Veronicas, Alanis Morissette, Audio Playground, Sliimy, Donna Summer, Chris Willis, Kimberly Cole, Jason Derulo, Kerli, Blush, and many many more.
